At Margene, we repurpose luxury deadstock fabrics from British mills to create a design-focused, size-inclusive range of trousers, tailored for longevity. Our 'alter' platform connects customers to a network of trusted local dry cleaners and seamstresses, offering free alterations to ensure a perfect fit
that adapts to changing body types.

Stemming from the common practice in India and the Saville Row to leave an additional seam allowance on garments to accommodate for any changes in the body – this tailoring feature is called ‘margin’ which helps prolong the lifecycle of garments. It is this spirit
of longevity that we want Margene to embody, while  radicalizing the idea of custom tailoring. We want to build products that are designed to last, all while organizing the unorganized sector of local seamstresses, bringing them together as a unified collective working towards a shared vision.
